PEMRA responsible for monitoring of TV channels’ content: SC

Islamabad: The Supreme Court observed that it was PEMRA’s responsibility to monitor content of TV channels, Geo News reported on Wednesday.

The remarks came as a division bench of the apex court headed by Justice Jawwad S. Khuwaja resumed hearing into a petition seeking formation of media commission.

The judge said that there were some experts in TV channels who even didn’t read court verdicts before making comments, which often surprised the judges.
