Fazl left for Qatar to attend US-Taliban talks: JUI leader

NOWSHERA: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Fazl Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman left for Qatar last night where he was invited to attend peace talks between the United States and the Afghan Taliban, said Hafiz Hussain Ahmed on Saturday.

Speaking at a condolence reference held in memory of former Jamaat-i-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed, the JUI leader said the a new round of talks had begun between the US and the Taliban in Qatar where the maulana was especially invited.

He said the Pakistan Taliban had also offered negotiations and the opportunity should be availed.
