ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has summoned four ex-directors of Bank of Punjab (BOP) to appear before the court in next hearing of Bank of Punjab (BOP) case, Geo News reported on Wednesday.
According to details, three-member bench of the apex court, led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, heard the BOP case.
During the court proceedings, the CJ remarked that loans worth billions of rupees were borrowed by bank directors and how could the loans were rescheduled.
It seems that Bank of Punjab and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) are trying to protect people, remarked Justice Azmat Saeed Shaikh.
Further hearing of BOP case will be resumed after three weeks.
