Elections 2013: Jamshed Dasti opts out of electoral race
MUZAFFARGARH: Former member National Assembly, Jamshed Dasti Wednesday announced his decision to stay out of the polls race even before the issuance of a court’s verdict over his holding of a fake degree.

The decision of the former MNA has come at a time when speculations are abuzz of the possible arrests of electoral candidates in the bogus degrees case.

The political fate of Jamshed Dasti, who was re-elected after quitting as MNA for holding a fake degree, is expected to be decided tomorrow (Thursday) by the Sessions Court of Muzaffargargh.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had forwarded a request to the Sessions Court of Muzaffargargh to take action against Dasti, who was earlier planning to contest general elections from two National Assembly constituencies.

He had also announced to compete against Pakistan People's Party candidate Hina Rabbani Khar.
