KARACHI: CNG stations, public transport and markets will open by 4:00 PM this evening, Geo News repoted.
Life remained suspended on Friday after the MQM announced a day of mourning in respect for the six people who lost their lives in a bomb attack at one of the parties campaign offices in Nusrat Bhutto colony in Karachi.
Day of Mourning
On Thursday night, the MQM Coordination Committee appealed to all trade and transport bodies to keep businesses shut and public transport off the roads.
Immediately responding to the call, Private Schools Association announced a holiday today (Friday). All government schools and colleges also remained closed, while examinations scheduled for Friday have been rescheduled including matriculation, Sindh Technical Board and Federal Urdu University examinations.
Public transport remained off the roads while petrol pumps and business centers were shut across the city.
Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Tando Allahyar and other cities and towns also observed mourning day.
