Pakistan Army observes ‘Martyr’s Day’ today
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army is observing April 30 as Youm-e-Shuhada (Martyr’s Day) in recognition to those soldiers who laid their lives for their motherland.

Scores of functions being held at General Headquarters and Corps Headquarters levels at the respective station on Tuesday to observe the Youm-e-Shuhada.

Over 2,000 family members and relatives of the martyrs have been invited to attend a function being held at the GHQ and Corps Headquarters, presided over by Army Chief General Ashfaque Pervaiz Kayani, where different speakers would pay tributes to the national heroes. Besides wreaths were laid on the memorial of martyrs and guard of honour presented to all those martyrs who laid their lives for the country.
