Accused killed in Karachi encounter

KARACHI: An accused was killed while another escaped from the scene when an encounter with police that took place in Maripur area of Karachi, Geo News reported on Wednesday.

According to police, a raid was conducted in the Maripur area to apprehend the culprits involved in various crimes during which the accused opened fire on the police team.

In the retaliatory firing by the police personnel, one criminal was killed while the other managed to flee from the spot.

Arms and ammunitions were recovered from the killed accused while the police claimed that the culprit was wanted in several crimes.
