SC calls fed secretaries in missing persons case Thursday ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) expressed dissatisfaction over a report by Foreign Ministry regarding Pakistanis arrested overseas while hearing a case regarding missing persons, Geo News reported Thursday.

A three-member SC bench headed by Justice Javed Iqbal heard the case regarding missing persons.

A Foreign Ministry’s report on Pakistanis detained abroad was presented to the court today, which voiced displeasure on it.

According to the report, there are at least 143 Pakistanis detained in Afghanistan, 425 in Malaysia and over 200 captive Pakistanis are in Thailand.

Additional Attorney General told the court that there are also financial issues among other troubles in getting back Pakistani held abroad and their repatriation.

On this, the court called the federal secretaries of Foreign, Home and Finance ministries to appear before the court Thursday.
