Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif paid their respects at the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) grave in Masjid-e-Nabvi, Medina after a military drill that brought together leaders from 20 Muslim countries ended on Friday.
The two leaders stopped by at Medina on Saturday before embarking on their flight back to Islamabad. Pictures on social media showed the Prime Minister and Army Chief raising their hands in prayers near the grave at the mosque.
The North Thunder military drills that brought together armed forces from Arab and Islamic countries concluded with a marching parade on Friday.
The exercises tackled guerilla warfare with the focus on countering tactics used by armed militias attacking Arab countries like Syria and Yemen.
