KARACHI: MQM party worker Saeed alias Bharam who was arrested by police in March this year, confessed to personally knowing 34 party activists who had received training from Indian spy agency RAW.
In his joint interrogation report Bharam said that during the Karachi Operation 13 target killers left for foreign countries.
He added that they used code words for the Karachi Operation. The workers called a Kalashnikov computer, a pistol pencil, and explosives ‘choona’.
Facing over 50 cases pertaining to charges of murder, attempted murder, ‘China-cutting’ of amenity plots besides other heinous crimes, Saeed was arrested by Interpol in Dubai in March, on the directives of the Pakistani authorities.
He was handed over to the Rangers on a 90-day preventive detention, by an anti-terrorism court (ATC), following his extradition from Dubai.
He had fled to Dubai at the onset of the Rangers-led operation in Karachi in 2013.
