FATA elders say ready to sacrifice anything for Pakistan

PESHAWAR: The FATA Grand Alliance said on Sunday the tribal population would rally behind the Pakistan Army if India declares a war against Pakistan.

The FATA elders met today in Peshawar’s Bagh-e-Naran regarding the escalating rift between the two countries, where they said the 200 million strong tribal population is ready to sacrifice anything for Pakistan if need be.

It was decided in the jirga, which was attended by elders from different agencies across FATA, that the tribal people would fully support the Armed Forces in the event of Indian aggression.

The elders said that despite the disagreements between the tribes and the government, FATA has rendered sacrifices for Pakistan for the last 15 years and would continue to do so if duty called.

The Alliance called on the United Nations to put an end to Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir and said that the tribes would repeat their ancestral history and liberate the occupied valley from the Indian forces.
