KARACHI: The investigation authorities have sought help from the Federal Investigation Agency to determine where the suicide bomber of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine had come from and ascertain identity.

According to sources privy to the investigation Abdullah Brohi, of the Hafeez Brohi group, brings terrorists to Pakistan while Maulvi Naseer provides them safe spots as hideouts. Moreover, footage from the CCTV camera installed at the Afghan border has been obtained to identify the terrorist. Investigations have also revealed

Investigations have also revealed an unusual similarity between the Sehwan incident and blast at Shah Noorani shrine in Khuzdar district of Balochistan. It has been found out at due to search operations throughout the country terrorist organisations had changed their strategy by dividing the provinces among themselves to target. For instance, two groups wanted to target Sindh and Balochistan while two others wanted to wreak havoc in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The blast that took place at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar on February 16 claimed at least 88 lives and injured over 300 others. The explosion had taken place at a time when the shrine was crowded with people.

Initial investigation reports had suggested the suicide bomber could be a woman as the attacker was said to be clad in a burqa and entered without being frisked for security. However, later, a footage from the CCTV camera at the shrine entrance showed a man entering the shrine premises by managing to dodge the sole policeman at the entrance and not being checked.

A similar incident took place at the shrine of Shah Noorani in Khuzdar when an explosion on November 12 resulted in the death of 52 people and injured over 100 others.

Both the explosions took place at the time of the dhamaal when premises of shrines are usually crowded with people.
