Quack in Gujranwala makes child lie on smoldering coal to ward off evil spirit

GUJRANWALA: A 13-year old child was severely burnt by a self-professed faith healer Monday.

Sources told Geo News that the woman named Yasmeen made the child lie on smoldering coal after his family requested her to treat his seizures.

The quack claimed the child was possessed by an evil spirit.

The child was admitted to District Headquarter Hospital, where he is being treated for severe burns.

Yasmeen was arrested after the child’s father Waris lodged a complaint against the quack.
