Gaddafi Stadium all set for PSL final

LAHORE: With security measures in place and cricket pitch levelled, Gaddafi Stadium is ready for the final of Pakistan Super League.

Barbed wires have been fixed on the boundary of the stadium, while CCTV cameras have also been installed. Besides, side screen has also been painted afresh. Practice pitches are also being made, besides the one for the main match. Roads around the stadium have also been carpeted.To ensure security, all the three entrances of Nishtar Park Sports Complex will be closed starting Tuesday. Nishtar Park comprises the stadium and other grounds for other sports activities. Even the restaurants of the stadium will be closed.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan inaugurated a college building at the Gaddafi stadium on Tuesday.

“This is a gift from PCB to Pakistan Super League (PSL),” he said, adding that the struggles of PSL chairman Najam Sethi and his team had borne fruit.

The chairman congratulated the PSL team for making arrangements for the final taking place in Lahore.

Shahryar Khan said that for people who cannot afford to buy expensive tickets, 1000 tickets will be sold for Rs500.

Meanwhile Najam Sethi said that the Punjab government will not let anyone enter the stadium without a National Identity Card.
