Salman Khan's Tubelight enters the 100-crore club

While Bollywood actor Salman Khan's movies generally promise a big opening but this did not happen this time.

Salman Khan starerTubelight which was released this weekend but contrary to expectations and much hype created, the film underperformed at the box office.

Salman performed the role of a man-child in the movie which was set against the backdrop of Indo-Sino war of 1962.

The movie was directed by Kabir Khan and this was the third time Salman-Kabir duo collaborated after Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Tubelight which opened on a decent note of around INR 20 crore has now finally entered the 100-crore club on its sixth day of release.

Tubelight was expected to race ahead of the previous record, however, now that looks a bit difficult looking at the soaring state of the movie.

Produced by Salman Khan Films, Tubelight also stars Chinese actor Zhu Zhu, Sohail Khan, Matin Rey Tangu and late Om Puri in pivotal roles.
