Spiritual leader's followers injure two including SHO following his arrest

FATEHJANG: Followers of a local spiritual leader Amjad Ali Shah injured two people, including an SHO, after the police arrested Shah in Qutbal area on Sunday.

The rioting mob vandalised the Airport Police Station in Fatehjang, set public records on fire, and damaged cars parked in the vicinity.

Long queues formed on the Fateh Jang-Rawalpindi road after the mob created roadblocks.

A large contingent of police was summoned to the scene of incident to restore law and order. 

Negotiations with protesters were under way at the time of publication.

Sources said the spiritual leader was arrested by police for breaking the law.
