LAHORE: Secretary General Pakistan People’s Party, Jehangir Badar Wednesday said talks were afoot in connection with the formation of a national government, adding however that it would be premature to make a final comment on it, Geo News reported.
Addressing the first international social sciences conference here at Higher Education Commission (HEC), Badar said HEC would neither be dissolved nor be devolved to the provinces and that no such law was being formulated.
He, on the occasion, assured on behalf of the government that HEC’s fate would not be put into jeopardy.
Later, talking to media the PPP General Secretary said talks were underway with Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and other political leadership for the formation of a national government.
To a question in connection with Chairman Oil and Gar Regulatory Authority (OGRA), Jehangir Badar said he (Badar) was his relative but could be held responsible for the latter.
