KARACHI: Opposition parties on Thursday criticised the government for its incompetence as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) completed its first 100 days in power on Thursday.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari mocked the government's first 100 days performance in a tweet, stating, "We were busy taking U-turns."

Speaking to media, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member Ahsan Iqbal said it appeared as if the government had no concrete homework and economic vision.

"They go to China and Malaysia asking them how to overcome corruption," he said. "The corruption they accuse us of gave 12,000 MWs of electricity to the country."

The emir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq said the first 100 days of the government were the days of disappointment.

"The nation got nothing in these 100 days except for inflation, debts and altercation," he said. "We will appreciate if the government performs a good job."

Criticising the government for mending ties with India, Haq said there was no good of going overboard in trying to achieve cordial relations with New Delhi without resolution of Kashmir issue.

He said they were also not satisfied with National Accountability Bureau's actions. "Those 436 individuals named in Panama leaks have been roaming around freely."

The JI emir also slammed the government for its failure to nab murderers of Maulana Samiul Haq.
