KARACHI: A transgender person was wounded alongside two police officers in an encounter late Tuesday night here in the city's Gulshan-e-Iqbal area, an official confirmed.
According to the superintendent for police (SP) for Gulshan-e-Iqbal, the transgender person sustained a gunshot wound during the encounter near Disco Bakery when alleged dacoits resorted to aerial firing while fleeing authorities.
The bullet grazed them on their ear, the SP said, adding that the two police officers were injured when they fell off their bike as they gave a chase to the escaping dacoits.
The suspects' aerial firing caused chaos in the area.
