Senate session called on July 23 on opposition’s requisition

ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has summoned a session on July 23 on the requisition of opposition.
The senate secretariat, earlier, turned down the opposition's request for calling a Senate session to present a no-confidence motion against Sanjrani. Senator Sherry Rehman had questioned the turning down of the request after a span for four days and called it a delaying tactic.
"Delaying senate session is unconstitutional," she said. The Senate chairman had requested the opposition to take back the no-confidence motion.
Opposition's nominee for Senate chairman Hasil Bizenjo also challenged the senate secretariat's objection and claimed that the opposition has required numbers to win the no-confidence motion against Sanjrani.
