Kidnapped three-year-old recovered from bag in Sheikhupura garbage dump

SHEIKHPURA: A three-year-old girl who was kidnapped earlier in the day here in the district's Muridke town was recovered eight hours later from a bag in a local garbage dump.

The minor girl, Aisha, had gone missing from Hasan Park Muridke but was recovered, severely wounded, from the park's garbage dump during a search in the vicinity.

According to the police, the three-year-old had wounds — stab marks — on her head and face. While police sources had earlier suspected she was raped, a medical report denied it.

The three-year-old was shifted Lahore's Mayo Hospital in critical condition.

A first information report (FIR) — registered on behalf of father — includes charges of attempted murder and kidnapping, police added, noting that they had also arrested two suspects.
