NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s High Commissioner in India, Shahid Malik said Wednesday that Pakistani officials will meet the five fishermen who were freed from Somali pirates and are currently in Indian custody on June 28, Geo News reported.

Officials from the Pakistani Embassy will present identification papers of the fishermen to India. Foreign Office spokesperson, Tehmina Janjua told Geo News that the High Commission in New Delhi is in contact with the Indian Home Ministry and arrangements are being made for the Pakistanis to return home soon.

The Indian Navy had freed the five Pakistanis from the captivity of Somali Pirates in March and they are currently being held in an Indian prison.
