PIBT has 3 working megacell seperaters
LAHORE: The spokesman of Punjab Health Department said that three megacell separating machines installed in the Punjab Institute of Blood Transfusion (PIBT) are in function.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, the spokesman said that all the machines are in working condition and providing services round the clock. He said that mega units have so far provided to 63 patients of dengue patients in public sector hospitals free of cost while the cost of per mega unit is round about Rs15,000 to Rs20,000.

The spokesman clarified that on Saturday, one machine was air-locked temporarily which was rectified within a couple of hours and there is no issue of preparation of platelets.

He further said that the institute had sufficient stock of kits, which were being provided to the patients as and when required. (APP)
