I respect approval of Haqqani’s resignation: Mansoor Ijaz

WASHINGTON: Mansoor Ijaz, the US businessman who created a stir in Pakistan by bringing the secret memo to media attention, in his reaction on Hussain Haqqani's resignation said he respected the decision of its acceptance, Geo News reported.

In a statement, Mansoor Ijaz welcomed the announcement of launching a high-level investigation into the memo issue.

Ijaz said that Pakistani agencies had asked him to cooperate in order to dig out the truth. He said believed the information with the agencies played a major role in today's events.

He said he would extend his help for the investigation if contacted by the government of Pakistan.
