PESHAWAR: Newly elected president of Pakistan Muslim League-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pir Sabir Shah on Thursday said although the memo case exposed anti-state conspiracies, the government continued to remain a silent spectator, Geo News reported.
Addressing a press conference here, Sabir Shah said the western border of Pakistan was not safe while the US and Nato had been launching direct attacks on Pakistan. This has put the country's sovereignty and integrity at stake but the government had been giving a cold shoulder to every issue, he added.
He continued that lawlessness was at peak in the country, adding all the decisions about Pakistan's future were held beyond its territorial borders.
Sabir Shah said the former foreign minister Khrushid Mehmood Kasuri sided with the US on the issue of drone strikes in the past but 'today he has become a part of Tehreek-e-Insaf'.
He accused Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan of misguiding the new generation.
