Pak Embassy rejects US resolution on Balochistan

WASHINGTON: Pakistan Embassy in the US rejecting completely the tabling of a resolution in US Congress on Balochistan, termed the bill based on ignorance and unfounded apprehensions, Geo News reported Saturday.

In a statement issued here at Pakistan Embassy, it was stated that all the matters relating to Balochistan was Pakistan's internal affair which the people and its democratic institutions were capable to deal with.

It further stressed that 'this kind of endeavor could affect Pak-US relations' and that Pakistan wanted ties with the US but not at the cost of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Balochistan is federating unit of Pakistan which has its own provincial assembly and elected representatives; the Senate also has representatives from the province, the statement asserted.
