Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may return to royal life after trying luck in US

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - who are trying their luck in the US after stepping back from royal duties in 2020, may have a plan to return to the royal fold in the future.

Tom Quinn - author of Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle - previously claimed that the couple may have plans to return to the royal fold in the future.

According to the author, Charles is more of a 'moderniser' than the Queen, he may approve of them carving out a part-time royal role back in the UK when he becomes the king.

However, another  royal expert Ingrid Seward claims that a royal comeback for the pair is off the cards.

Addressing reports the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could reintegrate themselves into working life among the Royal Family, Seward claims that Charles “will not want or need” Meghan and Harry in the fold when he takes the throne.

She told Express.co.uk: “Charles wants a slimmed-down monarchy not an expanded one so he will not want or need them around in any sort of working capacity.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle initially hoped to continue serving the Royal Family by splitting their time between North America and the UK, however, this proposed compromise was quickly rejected by the Queen.
