KARACHI: The Principal of National Government College, Waseem Adil was assaulted by two student organisations as he tried to stop them from cheating.
Mr. Adil said he was attacked because of measures he had put in place to prevent cheating during intermediate exams.
Principal Adil’s clothes were torn and his office was ransacked by the student organisations. The Sindh Professor and Lecturers Association have announced a boycott of intermediate exams from Thursday.
According to the organsation another teacher was assaulted on Tuesday but a boycott was not announced in interest of the students’ education.
Athar Mirza who is the President of the organisation added that until teachers were provided full protection, intermediate exams would not take place.
