High-level meeting discusses US, NATO relations

ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting discussing relations with NATO and the US was held at the Presidency.

The meeting was co-chaired by President Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani and attended by Army Chief Kayani, the ministers for Interior, Defence, Finance and Foreign Affairs.

According to sources, the meeting discussed parliamentary guidelines for the country’s foreign policy regarding ties with the US.

The Defence Committee of the Cabinet is expected to meet on Tuesday and discuss the NATO supply route.

During the course of the last few weeks, the international community has increased its pressure on Pakistan to restore the NATO supply route.
