Chief Minister signs summary of new LG ordinance

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has signed the summary of new Local Government Ordinance, sources said.

According to the sources, the LG system will be functional in five districts of the province which included Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Mir Pur Khas.

PPP and MQM, held a meeting at Chief Minister house where both the ruling coalition partners reached a consensus over the provisions of Sindh LG Ordniance.

Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat ul Ebad along with MQM and PPP leaders have arrived in Governor House where the Governor will give promulgation to the ordinance, the sources added.
