Former India cricket captain Virat Kohli has revealed that soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo is his sporting GOAT (greatest of all time) and the reason why is not what you might expect.

The 35-year-old Indian cricketer is a true superstar at his sport and has excelled in all three game formats, leading India to victory in each.

For personal reasons, he is not currently participating in the five-match Test series between England and India, Sportskeeda reported.

Meanwhile, the 39-year-old Portuguese soccer pro is among the greatest players who have ever played the beautiful game.

He is the first male player to have scored more than 850 goals for club and country since his debut two decades ago, and he is still going strong.

In a video interview posted by Team Bluerising on Instagram, Kohli explained why Ronaldo is his sporting GOAT:

"I know a lot of people might not agree with me. But for me, it's Cristiano Ronaldo. Sporting GOAT, not in different disciplines. What he's doing at his age is not human, playing every 3-4 days. He's still doing what he's doing, so it's pretty amazing."

Kohli, like his sporting GOAT, is at the top of his game, scoring hundreds in all three formats.

He has a record 50 centuries in ODIs and 80 overall hundreds, surpassing only Sachin Tendulkar in all-time lost.
