National Football League (NFL) player Aaron Donald has retired after playing for 10 years in the league. He played his entire career for the Los Angeles Rams.

In a message on social media Friday, the NFL player, who will go down in history as one of the best, announced his retirement and thanked his fans and Rams owner Stan Kroenke.

The 32-year-old is his team’s leader in career sacks with 111 in only 147 games. Donald also had 543 total tackles and 260 quarterback hits to his name.

SportsKeeda, citing Spotrac, reported that Donald earned $157.11 million during his 10-year stint. The fabulous player played well throughout his career and was also paid well.

Recently, Chris Jones became the high-paid defensive tackle in the league’s history as he signed a five-year contract worth $158.75 million.

Meanwhile, 32-year-old Donald will be eligible for induction in the Hall of Fame five years from now — 2029. He could join greats, including Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox.

Donald had signed a three-year extension contract with the LA Rams of $95 million. Prior to his retirement, his average annual salary was $31.6 million. OverTheCap reported that he was expected to earn around $35 million in the next season.
