Kirsten Dunst recently spilled the beans on her hiatus from acting.

The Spider-Man alum recently had a confessional with Marie Claire, where she promoted her upcoming movie Civil Wars

During this chat, the acting sensation also acknowledged, "I haven't worked in two years."

Revealing the reason for this break, she observed that "every role I was being offered was the sad mom" following her work 2021’s flick The Power of the Dog.

Her statement comes after in an earlier chat with Business Insider, Kirsten shared, "For me, I'm actually just really picky."

"The idea of playing a photojournalist to me was way more exciting than anything else,” she mentioned about her role in the new flick. 

"I didn't go do a bunch of romantic comedies," Kirsten remarked and added that she opted to make some name in indies.

For those unversed, the synopsis of the actress’s upcoming project, Civil War reads as, “In a dystopian future America, a team of military-embedded journalists races against time to reach Washington, D.C., before rebel factions descend upon the White House.”
