The foundation of Donald Judd is suing Kim Kardashian for claiming a fake piece of furniture to be the late artistic designer in a video she posted online in 2022.

In the lawsuit, the nonprofit company states the SKIMS founder shared a clip online that gave a peek into her office in which the social media celebrity told her millions of followers that the furniture pieces she had were prepared by the minimalistic designer Donald.

“These Donald Judd tables are really amazing and totally blend in with the seats,” the mother-of-four said in a now-deleted video which was removed by YouTube after a federal lawsuit.

Instead, the estate claims the pieces were crafted by a company called Clements Design and added they were forced to bring a lawsuit against the violation after matters were not resolved mutually.

“Multiple attempts were made by the Judd Foundation and its president, Rainer Judd (Donald's daughter), to address and resolve this matter amicably with Ms. Kardashian prior to litigation, which would have been avoidable had we heard back from either Ms. Kardashian or her counsel," the foundation’s lawyer Megan Bennigan said.

The complainant continued, “Kardashian then promoted the furniture as being 'Donald Judd' to millions of her social media followers. Clements Design refused to take any steps to resolve this matter, which is why the Judd Foundation reluctantly resorted to litigation in order to protect its intellectual property rights and the significance of Donald Judd's timeless designs."

Responding to the lawsuit, Kim’s attorney Michael Rhodes said, “We deny that Ms. Kardashian has any liability in this matter, as we have previously explained to the Judd Foundation and its counsel.”
