France’s Bartoli sails into second round

BEIJING: France's number two seed Marion Bartoli advanced to the second round of the Shenzhen Open after winning their opening matches on Monday.

The world ranked number 11 Bartoli had an easy time knocking off Hong Kong's Chan Wing-Yau 6-1, 6-0 in just over an hour, dashing the hopes of the wild card draw who was playing in front of many fans from the nearby former colony.(AFP)
