Taylor Swift may have thought of The Tortured Poets Department back when she was a child.

CBS Philadelphia spoke with the pop star’s teachers Barbara Kolvek and Heather Brown who shared that her love for music began at a very early age.

Barbara, who was Taylor’s elementary school music teacher, told the outlet that the Grammy winner was already set on becoming a singer when she was in the second grade.

"She always was writing poetry — always — even in music class, even when she shouldn't," she said while recalling the time she gave Taylor "her very first singing solo."

Barbara further revealed that the two kept “in touch for a while.”

"I feel like maybe I gave her a little spark or encouragement to do what she was doing," she said.

On the other hand, Heather, who was Taylor’s third-grade teacher, spoke of her "special quality."

"You always remember every student from the quality they have. Taylor's quality was just being she was one of those students where people just drew to," she told the outlet.

Heather also shared that she still sends Taylor a Christmas card every year, despite the fact that she probably “doesn't get the messages anymore."

Adding how excited she feels whenever she see the Fortnight hitmaker on the stage, she shared, "When she comes out on stage and everyone's screaming 'Taylor,' it's like, oh my gosh, like I was her teacher.”
