Mike Myers, famed for his role in Austin Powers, made a striking appearance at the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award Gala.

The prestigious event held at Dolby Theatre honoured actress Nicole Kidman for her contributions to the film industry.

As per DailyMail report, Myers, who has entertained audiences with his comedic genius for decades, was hardly recognizable with his short grey hair and stubble, a sharp contrast to his on-screen characters.

Dressed in a classic black tuxedo, the Amsterdam actor attended the gala not just as a guest but also to celebrate his friend Nicole Kidman.

Amid the celebrations, talking to Entertainment Tonight Myers hinted at the potential return of the Austin Powers franchise.

He said, "I’m gonna put a big, firm, written maybe on that."

However, when he was asked about the potential return of the series in May, Myers said, "I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of such a project, should it exist or not exist."
