'Baby Reindeer' real-life Martha accuses Richard Gadd of 'bullying'

Real-life Martha from Baby Reindeer is not amused with her portrayal in the show.

The hit Netflix show is based on the titular actor Richard Gadd’s real life experience of getting stalked by a deranged, obsessed woman named Martha Scott, played by Jessica Gunning.

It also shows how he was sexually abused by a higher up in the industry when he was trying to become a famous comedian.

However, the real-life Martha, whose identity has been kept anonymous, told Daily Mail that she has been receiving “death threats and abuse from Richard Gadd supporters.”

"He's using Baby Reindeer to stalk me now. He’s bullying an older woman on television for fame and fortune. I'm the victim. He's written a bloody show about me," she said.

The woman also noted that Jessica is a lot similar to what she looks like.

“She sort of looks like me after I put on four stones during lockdown but I'm not actually unattractive,” she said while refusing the claims made in the season finale which explains why Martha started calling Donny (Richard) “baby reindeer.”

Towards the end of the show, Martha reveals that he resembled a stuffed toy reindeer she had and adored growing up.

However, in reality, no such thing happened.

“I wouldn’t have had any conversation with Richard Gadd about a childhood toy either,” the woman clarified.
