Meryl Steep ready to receiver new honour

Meryl Steep is reportedly adding a new accolade to her collection soon.

As fans will know, Meryl’s career spans over four decades of acting in Hollywood.

During this time, the actress was conferred with numerous accolades such as three Oscars earns along with eight Golden Globes scores.

According to the latest findings of Le Monde, Meryl Streep is set to be honoured with the Palme d'Or at the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival, scheduled on 14th May, as per the organizers.

Following this news, Meryl responded in a statement obtained by the outlet, "I am immeasurably honored to receive the news of this prestigious award.”

“To win a prize at Cannes, for the international community of artists has always represented the highest achievement in the art of filmmaking," she added.

Later, she concluded by expressing, "To stand in the shadow of those who have previously been honored is humbling and thrilling in equal part."
