Hugh Jackman 'confides' in his children after Deborra Lee split

Hugh Jackman is leaning on his children after calling it quits with Deborra-Lee Furness.

The couple ended their marriage last year in July after 24 years of marriage.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” they told PEOPLE at the time.

Now, in a statement to Woman’s Day, a person from Hugh’s inner circle revealed that his “greatest comfort” comes from his children Ava and Oscar.

“They've become closer than he could have imagined and he can confide in them, whereas before he'd turn to Deb. They have really rallied around him and it's made a huge impact. He always looks so happy when he's with those two,” the source shared.

The tip comes after another insider told In Touch last month that Hugh is “trying to get attention” after his split from the Australian actress.

They had stated, “He doesn’t seem to have the time for his old crowd and they feel they’ve been ditched right along with Deb. He’s clearly trying to get attention, but it’s coming off as strange and unprofessional. If Deb were around, she’d never let him embarrass himself this way!”
