Opposition parties, ECP to meet on February 6
ISLAMABAD: Participants of the PML-N led march met with officials of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday. It was decided that opposition parties and the ECP will hold a meeting on February 6.

Opposition parties demanded new delimitation of constituencies in Karachi be carried out and door to door verification of voters with the help of the army should be conducted in the metropolis according to the orders of the Supreme Court.

Earlier, heavy rain in the federal capital disrupted the protest plan of the PML-N and other likeminded parties. The proposed plan of staging a two day sit-in outside the ECP office was changed.

The planned sit-in was to be staged for the empowerment of the ECP and to protest against the situation in Balochistan as well as implementation of the Supreme Court’s verdict regarding new delimitation of constituencies in Karachi.
