Kate Middleton, Prince William being 'honest' about marriage after 'brutal' year

Kate Middleton and Prince William are “being honest” about their marriage after a "brutal" year of the Princess and King Charles both battling cancer.

According to insiders, the Prince and Princess of Wales are closer than ever and discuss their marriage.

"For the princess, family — her husband and children — are more important than anything else," a well placed royal insider told People.

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward also chimed in, telling the outlet, "William must feel so fortunate that Kate has come through this that he wants to tell the world about that love. It shows the intimacy of them sharing that journey together."

"They are able to express themselves in a way they would never have done before," Seward added.

Royal historian and writer Dr. Amanda Foreman also noted the couple’s marriage seems strong.

"They feel they are very lucky to be married to each other. Their marriage is strong, and they are being honest about it," she said.

This comes after Kate Middleton recently revealed that she’s now in remission after months of treatment for cancer. She was diagnosed early last year while her father-in-law King Charles also got a cancer diagnosis. Prince William opened up about the tough year later, saying it was “brutal” and "probably the hardest year in my life.
