King Charles elder son and heir to throne Prince William is said to be paving the way to become king ‘sooner than anticipated’.

This has been claimed by royal expert Helena Chard while speaking to the Fox News Digital.

Discussing the role of the Prince of Wales in the Firm, Helena said "Prince William's role within the royal family is more prominent and influential than ever, as is his center stage position in diplomatic relations."

She continued, "Prince William's most important role is that of dad and husband.

"However, he is paving the way to be king sooner than anticipated. He is in tune with the public and the younger generation. He realizes that to justify the existence of the royal family, the heaviest burden will soon fall at his feet. This weight always rests on the king or queen."

Earlier, another expert Jennie Bond told the Closer Weekly keeping the monarchy relevant is "extremely important" to William.

Jennie also thinks Prince William and his beloved wife Kate Middleton are completely united in “doing all they can to keep the monarchy connected with the younger generation."

The expert added, "They look modern, they act modern."

The fresh claims by the royal expert come as King Charles concluded his historic Canada trip, his first as Sovereign.

The palace shared photos of King Charles and Queen Camilla on Instagram with the monarch’s message: “As my wife and I leave Canada, we wanted to send our most heartfelt thanks to all those who turned out to offer their support on this, my first visit as Sovereign.”

“It was the warmest of welcomes - and the fondest of returns to a land and a people we love.”
