Daniel Stern gives rare insight into life after Hollywood

Daniel Stern, known for his role in 1990s hit Holiday comedy movie, Home Alone, gave a glimpse of his life outside the limelight.

The Rookie of the Year actor, in early 2020s decided to step back from Hollywood for a quiet life in his Venture County, California.

According to Cleveland, Stern and his wife has dedicated their lives into farming and tending citrus groves and cattle. Stern also admitted that he prefers slow rhythm of rural life.

He also pursued work as a sculptor and artist, saying that this new interest has given him a different appreciation for craft and for the work that goes in a film’s visual elements.

Despite of choosing remote and private life over the Hollywood’s, Stern acknowledged the enduring popularity of Home Alone and his role in it, along with emphasising that stepping away from constant publicity has allowed him to “live my real life” and focus on family and personal projects rather than celebrity obligations.

It is also to be noted that though Stern has stepped back from frequent acting, he has not quit entirely from the profession, and he still caters to occasional projects and media requests while handling them remotely from the farm.
