Indian media has trolled the United States President Donald Trump in a now viral cartoon-style video of Indian Prime Minister Narindera Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin amid the latter’s ongoing official state-visit to India.
A cartoonistic video created by an Indian media outlet shows Modi and Putin riding a bike with a “friendship” song playing in the background.
Modi rides the bike with Putin sitting beside him and the Indian PM sings, “We will never break this friendship. We will never leave your side, it doesn't matter how much difficulties come in our way.”
Taking a hit at Trump, the lyrics briefly touch on tariffs imposed by the U.S. president on India, adding, “No one can stop the delivery of S-400 missile defense to India.”
Apparently referring to President Trump’s strong criticism of India buying Russian oil amid ongoing Ukraine war, they also trolled the U.S. president.
The video shows Trump as a petrol pump attendant at a U.S. fuel station, with a Russian fuel pump placed beside it.
Modi stops the bike at the petrol pump, fills the tank from the Russian dispenser and President Trump gets infuriated by this.
The song further states, “We will continue making deals, and will never bow to any (U.S.) pressure.”
This comes after the U.S. president has, on multiple occasions, asked India to cut its purchase of Russian oil. He also imposed a 50 percent tariff on Indian exports to the U.S.
