Princess Kate brought festive elegance to Westminster Abbey at her fifth annual Christmas carol service on Friday.

The Princess of Wales returned to the spotlight with her festive look in breathtaking attire. She dazzled in a long green jacket with fur trim around the neckline, paired with black boots and statement drop earrings, which she previously wore to the 2022 premiere of Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick."

Kate was accompanied by her husband, Prince William, and their three children, getting to the event early to greet guests, volunteers and performers.

Kensington Palace released the video of the Waleses on their official instagram with a statement, writing: "Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis arrive for this year’s Together At Christmas carol service with Prince William at Westminster Abbey tonight. They were greeted by their mother, who had arrived earlier to meet some of her guests."

The mother of-three maintained the holiday spirits with her family even after receiving a sad news as star performer Hannah Waddingham had to bow out at the last minute.

However, the candle-lit festive event still promises special performances from Katie Melua, Fisherman's Friends and Griff.

Royal commentator Rebecca English also shared the heartwarming video of Princess Catherine's arrival, showing her in high spirits while heading to the Abbey.

Kensington Palace also excites fans with an early update on Princess Kate's event, sharing photos of celebrities with a note: "Introducing the line-up for tonight’s ‘Together at Christmas’ Carol Service - coming together to celebrate the connections that shape our lives."

Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor are set to give readings while carols will be sung by the Westminster Abbey choir, alongside musical performances.

Earlier, The Prince and Princess of Wales' Instagram shared a stunning video on their official Instagram, stating: 'Wonderful to see Westminster Abbey dressed and ready ahead of this evening’s Carol Service.'
