Rebecca Gayheart, the Jawbreaker star, who is still married to Eric Dane, was spotted out on a date with a businessman, Peter Morton.
Gayheart and Dane got separated in 2018, but the Scream 2 actress dismissed her divorce filing, and shortly after, Dane revealed he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
They share two daughters, Billie Beatrice and Georgia Geraldine.
Following her broken marriage, Gayheart and Morton first sparked relationship rumours in 2023 when they were spotted out on a dinner date in L.A. where they appeared to be on a double date with Claudia Schiffer and her husband, film director Matthew Vaughn.
The couple has maintained a low key out of the limelight relationship.
Recently, they were spotted in March 2025 pre-Oscars dinner and out on a date on December 3.
The couple make rare public appearances as Gayheart navigates her "complicated" relationship with Dane.
Earlier this year, Gayheart admitted on the Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson & Olivia Allen podcast, “I am definitely trying to show [my daughters] that we show up for people no matter what. And he is our family, he is your father.”
Gayheart added that the dynamic is "super complicated."
While Gayheart is trying to smoothen the relationship dynamics, Morton has been influential in Hollywood’s behind the scenes.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Morton helped fund the independent movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, which kickstarted the career of director Guy Ritchie. He also helped fund Ritchie's 2000's film, Snatch.
Per The New York Times, Morton is the godfather to Matthew Vaughn, the director of X-Men: First Class, The King's Man and Stardust, which Morton was also a co-executive producer of.
