Hayley Williams had an unfiltered conversation about where she stands with Paramore, amid speculations swirling around her alleged split with bandmate and best friend, Taylor York.

The 36-year-old rockstar shut down the disbanding rumours once again, clarifying that they are on a break and Paramore is not gone for good.

Although Williams is heading for a solo tour in promotion of her new album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, the pop punk band’s future is still one of her priorities, despite not knowing what’s next, the Grammy winner told Amy Poehler on Good Hang podcast.

The Glum hitmaker told the host that her solo album was really important because she needed to discover herself “outside of the band."

The Paramore lead vocalist reflects upon her fear of growing up without knowing herself on the album as well, and she told Poehler, "I'm looking at 40. It's not that many years away, and I'm just like, I should probably know who I am outside of this entity."

While Williams did not comment on her relationship status with York, many songs on her album hint at the grief of losing a lover and best friend.

The guitarist and the Kill Me songstress confirmed that they were dating back in 2022, but neither has addressed the split rumours.
