The Pitt, HBO Max’s Emmy-winning medical drama, is breaking new ground with an early theatrical release of its Season 2 finale, teaming up with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema for nationwide screenings ahead of its streaming debut.

Warner Bros. Television and HBO Max have announced that the season 2 finale of The Pitt will screen in select Alamo Drafthouse locations across the U.S. April 13, three days before it premieres on HBO Max April 16.

The screenings are framed as a tribute to healthcare workers, celebrating their dedication to communities nationwide.

Active and retired healthcare professionals are invited to reserve seats with a $10 food and beverage voucher, while all attendees will be given exclusive The Pitt giveaways.

Participating theaters include venues in New York City, Boston, Raleigh, Naples, Dallas, Austin, Denver, San Francisco, the Twin Cities and Los Angeles.

R. Scott Gemmill’s The Pitt features Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch.

The drama follows a team of healthcare workers in Pittsburgh.

The ensemble cast includes Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Sepideh Moafi.

Produced by John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television, the series has become a critical darling, winning five Emmys for its first season including Outstanding Drama Series and Lead Actor for Wyle.

It also earned a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series and was named one of AFI’s top ten television programs of 2025.

With season 3 already greenlit, the theatrical rollout of the season 2 finale reflects the show’s cultural impact and HBO Max’s push to create event-style experiences around its most celebrated titles.
