Daniel Radcliffe is getting praise once again for one of his most intense films.
The actor stars in Escape from Pretoria, a 2020 thriller based on the true story of anti apartheid activist Tim Jenkin.
The film is about Jenkin after he is sentenced to 12 years in prison in South Africa.
Refusing to give up, he secretly plans a bold escape with two other prisoners.
The story, however, is based on Jenkin's book Inside Out: Escape from Pretoria Prison.
Francis Annan directed the film and also wrote it with L.H. Adams. The cast also includes Daniel Webber, Ian Hart, Mark Leonard Winter, Nathan Page, Grant Piro, Adam Ovadia and Adam Tuominen.
The movie received massive reviews from critics and currently hold 73 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Sun described the film as "unbearably tense" and compared it to Ben Affleck's Argo.
The review also praised the way the story was brought to life on screen.
MovieWeb said the film has "several hold your breath moments" that keep viewers interested from start to finish.
Moreover, the review also praised Radcliffe, saying he "continues to be daring in his acting choices."
